Easter in Marpissa, Paros…

The week of Palm Sunday is one week of preparation. Ασβεστώνονται the cobbled streets of the traditional settlement, painted houses, prepared the shops, cleaned the shores…

The Great Friday for Marpissa is a unique day of the year. At noon in the church after the deposition are given the Μεράσματα (treat-kosher) to forgiven souls. Representations will take place 200 people of all ages. The Divine drama you complete the Easter Sunday with the procession of the Second Resurrection, where small angelic forms along the length of the road κορυφώνουν the devotion.
