The holiday days continue as we navigate through the Easter celebrations. Banks across the country were closed yesterday, Good Friday, and will remain closed over the next few days based on the Easter calendar. Transactions during these days cannot be conducted in person at branches. According to an announcement by the Hellenic Bank Association, bank holidays for the Easter period include Good Friday and Easter Monday. Therefore, banks are closed today, Holy Saturday (April 19, 2025), Easter Sunday (April 20, 2025), and Easter Monday (April 21, 2025). Banks will reopen on Easter Tuesday (April 22, 2025) with their regular hours. However, electronic services (e-banking, mobile banking) and ATMs will operate normally throughout the holidays without interruption, though credits might experience delays. Note that banks will also be closed the week after Easter due to Labor Day.
