Easter 2025: When Schools Close and All Holidays of the Year Fall

Students and educators are eagerly counting down the days until schools close for Easter break. According to the schedule, Easter Sunday falls on April 20, 2025, with the following day, Monday, April 21, also being an official holiday. Schools will remain closed for two weeks, from Great Monday, April 14, 2025, through Thomas Sunday, April 27, 2025. The last day of classes will be Friday, April 11, 2025, with students returning to school on Monday, April 28, 2025. In addition to Easter holidays, there will be other opportunities for rest throughout the year: May Day on Thursday, May 1, 2025; Pentecost Monday on June 9, 2025 (not an official holiday for all workers); August 15 on Friday, August 15, 2025; October 28 on Tuesday, October 28, 2025; Christmas Day on Thursday, December 25, 2025; and the Second Day of Christmas on Friday, December 26, 2025.
