E.E.A.: “Important perspectives from the journey in China”

With a view to the conclusion of major business agreements, the Greek political and business delegation left for China…
Headed by Prime minister Alexis Tsipras who is accompanied by Ministers and businessmen, the Greek interest is focused on the expansion of relations with China and mainly in the closer business cooperation in various fields, in order to begin a new era for the Greek economy.
The mission involved and the President of the Professional Chamber of Athens. Χατζηθεοδοσίου, the sole representative of the Επιμελητηριακής community, then the channel of communication opened E.E.A. with the chinese economic colossus Alibaba, the largest e-commerce company in the world, which is expected for an official visit to Athens on 13 and 14 September. During the stay of the Greek mission in China, the leadership will meet -among others – with the chairman of Alibaba, in order to put the bases for cooperation between the two sides, with the sole aim of strengthening the extroversion of Greek businesses. This was also the goal of the Professional Chamber from the first moment of contact with Alibaba. To open a way for Greek entrepreneurs to export more and to encourage them to switch to the huge chinese market as there are immense opportunities and excellent prospects for profitable synergies.
Alexis Tsipras was accompanied by minister of Foreign affairs Nick. Kotzias, the minister of Economy and Development C. Stathakis, deputy minister for Research and Technology Mr. Φωτάκης, the secretary of state for Foreign affairs Rep. Μάρδας, the government’s representative Olga Γεροβασίλη, the president of the FUND Stergios Πιτσιόρλας. From the business community, the mission in Beijing and Shanghai, with participation of representatives from the following companies and organizations: HEMEXPO, Corallia, hellenic chinese chamber of Commerce, Professional Chamber of Athens, PPC, ERT, Boutaris Winery, a Cooperative of Arta, Δομοτεχνική, ΝΒG Pangaea Real Estate, Grecotel – Group Δασκαλαντωνάκη, ΤΕΜΕS SA – Costa Navarino / Costamare Shipping Co., MyOdyssey Travel Ltd, Ambotis Holidays, Manessis Travel S. a., Apivita S. a., ETC. Καούσης SA, federation of Industries of Northern Greece (FING), National Can Hellas, Biosolids, HATTA, Greek-chinese Centre of Entrepreneurship, NanoPhos SA, Αρχιρόδον S. a., Aegean Airlines, Cosco, Greece Doppler S. a., Greek-chinese Economic Council, Kleemann, Euromedica AE, Perseus Healthcare (Metropolitan Hospital), Dodoni SA, EAB, EAS, the Union of Greek Banks, Enterprise Greece.
The mission left for China on the afternoon of Friday 1 July and leaving on Wednesday, 6 July, from Shanghai to Athens.
