The interest of businesses and citizens in the JOBmatch 2.0 application continues to grow, connecting tourism and hospitality companies directly with job seekers in relevant fields. According to a DYPAS announcement, during the first three weeks of the updated JOBmatch 2.0 operation, the number of businesses and citizens using the app increased by 74% (+1,982) and 29% (+5,522), respectively. In total, the application now has 4,677 business users offering numerous new job opportunities in tourism and hospitality across Greece, including urban Athens and its suburbs, as well as 24,665 candidate users searching for jobs in these sectors. Over the past three weeks, there have been 17,397 matches (a 53% increase) and 4,416 job offers (a 32% increase). It is worth noting that in May 2024, DYPAS launched the JOBmatch application to address the growing needs of the tourism sector. With the enhanced features of the upgraded app, the matching process has become simpler, making it more interactive and providing users with a better experience while ensuring swift and effective coverage of labor market needs, especially in critical tourism and hospitality sectors.
