An additional 1,000 new subsidized positions in the DYPA employment program for unemployed individuals aged 55 and above will be made available soon. Only municipalities and regions that did not apply for the initial 6,000 positions will have the right to apply. The deadline for applications for the original 6,000 positions expired on Friday, March 28, 2025, as they were oversubscribed within two weeks. According to DYPA, a platform for these specific positions will soon go live, followed by an announcement. This initiative is part of DYPA’s active employment policies aimed at supporting unemployed individuals from a demographic group facing significant barriers to entering or re-entering the labor market. It targets entities across a wide range of public administration, including Legal Public Entities, Municipalities, Regions, decentralized administrations, and central administration organizations. The program lasts 12 months with the possibility of extension for another 12 months, offering a monthly subsidy covering 75% of salary and insurance contributions up to €750 per month. Following the allocation of the initially offered 26,500 positions, the program was recently expanded to 32,500 positions nationwide, and now it will reach 33,500 positions. The budget for the new jobs amounts to €17.5 million. For more information, interested parties can visit the official website.
