DUPA: Business Participation in JOBmatch 2.0 Rises by 92%

The JOBmatch 2.0 app, launched by the Department of Labour and Social Protection (ΔΥΠΑ), continues to gain trust from businesses and citizens alike by enabling immediate and effective connections between employers in the tourism and hospitality sectors and potential employees.

According to a recent announcement, within just two months of its upgraded version going live, the number of businesses using the platform has nearly doubled—rising by 92% (+2,485)—while citizen participation increased by 38% (+7,348).

Match rates also saw an impressive 83% increase, reaching 27,282 matches, while job offers rose by 36%, with a total of 4,938 positions listed.

Currently, the platform hosts 5,180 business users offering numerous new employment opportunities across Greece’s tourism and hospitality sectors, covering both regional areas and central as well as suburban Athens. Additionally, 26,491 job seekers are registered on the platform looking for work in these specific fields.

Daily, more companies continue to post new job listings on JOBmatch 2.0, with demand focusing on roles such as waiters (745 positions), chefs (397), kitchen assistants (371), housekeepers (355), and baristas (346).

In terms of geographical demand, top regions include Rhodes (327 positions), Syntagma (135), Corfu (109), Kos (86), and Paros (80).

Launched in May 2024, JOBmatch was introduced to efficiently meet rising employment demands in the tourism sector. The upgraded application provides a more user-friendly, interactive matching process, improving user experience and speeding up job placements, particularly in tourism and hospitality.
