A 23-year-old British influencer and TikTok creator is facing murder charges in Dubai for allegedly stabbing a 26-year-old man to death with a kitchen knife inside his luxury apartment. According to human rights advocates, she could potentially face the death penalty under UAE law.
The woman, originally from Gravesend in Kent, England, previously worked at a John Lewis department store. She is accused of fatally stabbing William Tribe, also 26 and from Kent, after reportedly being struck in the face during an altercation. She claims the act was in self-defence.
She was arrested while attempting to board a flight bound for the UK and is now formally charged in the United Arab Emirates. Her family says Tribe initially approached her, and they began a relationship — but later subjected her to exploitation, including confiscating her passport and preventing her from returning home when she grew fearful for her safety.
The defendant is currently seeking release on bail pending the conclusion of legal proceedings.
