Authorities seized a firearm with magazine and live ammunition, additional ammunition, an electric stun device (taser), a sword, marine flares, 331 grams of raw cannabis, smaller quantities of cannabis, a precision scale, and handwritten notes during a search of a residence in Attica on 10 July.
The operation was carried out by personnel from the Piraeus Central Port Authority’s Security Office and the Regional Narcotics Suppression Unit (P.O.DI.N./Hellenic Coast Guard – HCG), with support from the Special Operations Group (E.O.E.P.), a narcotics-detection dog (K9 unit), and under the supervision of a public prosecutor.
The raid followed intelligence-led investigations as part of ongoing, targeted enforcement efforts by port security forces. A preliminary investigation is underway at the Piraeus Central Port Authority, and a man is currently wanted in connection with the case under flagrante delicto proceedings for violations of Greek narcotics and firearms laws.
