Drosia: Police Hunt for Suspect’s Accomplice in Shooting of 38-Year-Old Man

in

Authorities are investigating whether the shooter who attacked a 38-year-old man outside his home in Drosia had an accomplice. The incident occurred at 6:20 a.m. on September 30, 2025, on Stamata Avenue, when the victim was shot twice by a man dressed in black with a hood. Witnesses reported that the attacker fled and returned eight minutes later, shooting the man four more times in the garden of his house before walking away calmly. Surveillance footage and eyewitness accounts suggest the suspect may have been picked up by an accomplice near the intersection of Solomou and Petriti streets. The injured man, currently in intensive care at Red Cross Hospital with gunshot wounds to the chest and back, claims the attack is linked to a custody dispute involving his former partner and her current boyfriend. Police are focusing on this individual as the prime suspect, while examining evidence from security cameras and shell casings found at the scene. Tensions between the ex-partners over child custody appear to be the leading motive behind the assault.
