In a recent interview with the YouTube vidcast ‘Rainbow Mermaids,’ actress Dora Hrysikou reiterated her support for Zeta Douka in her allegations of verbal and psychological abuse against Giorgos Kimoulis. Hrysikou emphasized that getting involved in the #MeToo movement was a very conscious decision for her. “It wasn’t something I thought twice about,” she stated. “If the victim finds the strength to speak up, what should I do? I had to confirm that this person sharing their traumatic experience is not crazy and is telling the truth.” Known for her lifelong commitment to truth, Hrysikou explained why she couldn’t stay silent. “Zeta suffered greatly; it was extremely heavy what happened to her. Years later, she found the strength to speak out publicly, being the first in our space to do so. It was impossible for me not to tell the truth. I didn’t take sides; I stood with the facts and the truth. Zeta isn’t just someone close to me; she’s someone I respect deeply. After this process, we’ve grown even closer. However, I hadn’t been in touch with Mr. Kimoulis for the previous 13 years. When there are two versions of a story and I’ve experienced one, I must share my version as a witness. I can’t fabricate another story,” she concluded.
