Yesterday, Trump’s national security adviser said the new government would keep TikTok alive in the country, as long as there is a viable deal. Democratic leader in the Senate Chuck Schumer said after the Court’s ruling that the US should continue to seek out an American TikTok buyer. The chronicle of the case The law was passed last April with a broad bipartisan majority in Congress and was signed by outgoing Democratic President Joe Biden. The Supreme Court reached the decision, after the case was dealt with quickly, with the hearings of the parties taking place on January 10, just nine days before the deadline laid down by the law. The case court involved a wide range of issues, including freedom of speech rights and national security concerns in the social media era.
