Donald Trump: The Houthis ‘surrendered’ and U.S. bombings in Yemen will stop immediately

U.S. President Donald Trump announced that the Yemeni rebels have ‘surrendered’ and promised that American bombings in the country will cease immediately. ‘The Houthis have announced (…) that they no longer wish to fight. They simply do not want to fight anymore. And we will honor that. We will stop the bombings, and they have surrendered,’ Trump said while speaking in the Oval Office in front of Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau. Trump stated that the bombings will end after the Iran-backed rebels agreed to stop disrupting shipping in the Middle East. ‘The Houthis said, please don’t bomb us, and we won’t attack your ships,’ he notably mentioned.
