Donald Trump: Iran to Face ‘Very Powerful Strike’ Today

Hours after Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian’s address, former U.S. President Donald Trump posted a sharp warning on Truth Social, threatening Iran with a major new strike expected Saturday, March 7, 2026.

In the post, Trump claimed that Iran—facing what he described as “very harsh blows”—had apologized and surrendered to its Middle Eastern neighbors, pledging not to fire on them again. He asserted this promise resulted solely from sustained U.S. and Israeli military pressure, accusing Tehran of seeking regional domination.

“It is the first time in thousands of years that Iran has lost to its neighboring Middle Eastern countries,” Trump wrote. “They told me: ‘Thank you, President Trump.’ I replied: ‘You’re welcome!’”

He went on to declare that Iran is no longer the “bully of the Middle East,” but rather the “loser of the Middle East”—a status, he said, that would persist for decades unless Tehran either surrenders or collapses entirely.

“Today, Iran will face a very powerful strike!” Trump added, stating that individuals and groups previously not targeted are now under serious consideration for “total destruction and certain death” due to Iran’s conduct.
