For the ninth consecutive day, the military campaign launched by former U.S. President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu against Iran continues. Speaking aboard Air Force One, Trump reiterated that the United States and Israel are determined to eliminate every facet of Iran’s current regime.
‘No One Left to Surrender’
Trump stated bluntly: “I don’t think anyone will be left to surrender.” He added that he has no interest in negotiations with Tehran. The U.S. president implied the conflict could only end when Iran no longer possesses a functional military or a ruling leadership structure. “At some point, I don’t think there’ll be anyone left to say ‘we surrender,’” he said — suggesting that once key leaders are eliminated and the armed forces destroyed, further airstrikes would become irrelevant.
Trump’s Remarks on the Kurds
On the role of Kurdish forces, Trump emphasized: “I don’t want the Kurds to go inside [Iran]. I don’t want to see Kurds harmed or killed.” While acknowledging longstanding friendly ties between the U.S. and Kurdish groups, he clarified that the White House is not considering or supporting cross-border operations by Kurdish militias into Iranian territory. “We have very friendly relations with the Kurds, as you know — but we don’t want to make this war more complicated than it already is,” he said.
Earlier, in a Thursday interview with Reuters, Trump indicated he would support attacks against the Tehran regime carried out by Iranian Kurdish militias — a position that appears at odds with his more recent remarks about avoiding escalation.
