Donald Trump Hopes Russia and Ukraine Will Soon Make ‘Business Deals’ and ‘Make a Fortune’

Former U.S. President Donald Trump expressed hope that Russia and Ukraine would reach an agreement within the week in a short message on his Truth Social platform. “Let’s hope Russia and Ukraine come to an agreement this week,” Trump wrote. He added, “Both can then do good business with the USA, which is fully booming, and make a fortune.” This comes after Vladimir Putin’s refusal to extend the Easter ceasefire earlier this month and the U.S.’s welcoming stance towards such initiatives. Meanwhile, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy proposed a new plan suggesting Russia halt missile and drone attacks on civilian infrastructure for at least 30 days. Despite initial attempts at ceasefires, violations have continued from both sides, leading to further discussions but no conclusive agreements yet.
