Another presenter, this time Sean Duffy was chosen by him to staff his government. After Pete Hegseth who made a career on Fox News and to whom Donald Trump gave the defence ministry, Sean Duffy will be the new U.S. Transportation Minister. Sean Duffy, 53, once a form of reality television series, former prosecutor, lawyer and MP, father of nine children, current Fox News presenter advocate of fiscal “responsibility”, will be invited to manage a huge federal portfolio, spanning from infrastructure expenditure as the regulatory framework for transport. Before his election to Congress, Duffy had much experience in reality. He had participated in the popular television reality show of MTV “The Real World” in 1997 , while meeting his wife in the filming of MTV’s “Road Rules: All Stars” in 1998. He then became a prosecutor in Ashland, Wisconsin. Trump does not hesitate to choose persons for his government who have become known through reality. He started his political career after his successful reality show, “The Apprentice”. Star TV reality show Pete Hegseth, who takes over the defence ministry, was a reality television series star before being elected to the House of Representatives in 2010 representing Wisconsin, and also featured a show on Fox Business, part of the television network system preferred by the American right. “During his term in Congress, Sean was a voice that respected Republican classes, promoting fiscal responsibility and economic growth,” said the new US president in a statement. Mr Trump assured that his future minister “will restore security to our skies by putting an end to racial equality programs in the classes of pilots and air traffic controllers”. “It will give priority to the supremacy, ability, competitiveness and beauty when rebuilding the highways, tunnels, bridges and airports of America,” the Republican leader, expected to take over power on January 20, added. In the announcement he stressed that Mr. Duffy, as he is the father of “nine incredible children”, knows “how important it is for families to travel safely”. Donald Trump has already made several very sharp choices since being elected as regards the staffing of his government and services in the presidency, by which he means to implement his programme to increase customs duties on imported products, reduce public spending, mass deportations of immigrants, etc. The Senate is expected to approve of his options The Senate, which will be under Republican control, is expected to approve his options. However, the President-elect cannot be prevented from being confronted with rejection by his own group of some of his most controversial options. Former MP Matt Gets, announced as the next Minister of Justice, is faced with a parliamentary investigation into his alleged relationship with a minor, who the person concerned denies, use of controlled substances, misuse of funds intended for the campaign and others. Pete Hegseth on his part has turned into the media’s object of revelations. According to the Washington Post, he paid money to a woman who accused him of sexually assaulting her to be persuaded to sign a confidentiality agreement, insisting that their relationship was consensual. Sean Duffy, once he takes over, will oversee the companies of Elon Musk, the richest man in the world, actively involved in the process of power transfer and is also expected to become a member of the government. Public administration decisions are pending on various issues relating to them — from autonomous vehicles to space, in the case of SpaceX.
