Donald Trump has openly declared his accession to Israel in the war that has broken out in the Middle East. “This could be the nicest place, with the weather conditions it has, water, everything, climate could be wonderful,” said Republican candidate for the White House during an interview he granted on the first anniversary of October 7. “I think it could be even better than Monaco, a rich prince on the Blue Coast,” added the Republican former president, without mentioning the humanitarian crisis in the enclave or the account of the victims among Palestinian civilians. “It could be the best thing in the Middle East,” he stressed. Donald Trump had appeared as Israel’s ultimate defender when the war with Hamas broke out. In recent months, however, he said that he is “not exactly sure that he likes the way” in which Israel is conducting its attack. In a statement, he had said that Israel should have hit Iran’s nuclear facilities rather than content with bombing and land invasion of Lebanon. Referring to “videos with collapsed buildings”, the former US president specifically stated that Israel “is completely losing the war of communication”.
