3 large criminal organizations which were active in drug trafficking in Larissa and Volos.
In the context of a broad police operation, which took place on Thursday and Friday in the areas of Larissa and Volos, in cooperation with the Department of Narcotics in Volos and the Team for Prevention and Suppression of Crime (The.E.K.E.) Larissa, were arrested a total of 21 members of criminal organizations, including the top brass.
More specifically, it is:
two men, aged 41 and 46 (leadership 1 organization),
three people, aged 57, 32 and 51 years, two of whom are prisoners at the Detention facility of Larissa (senior 2nd organization),
36-year-old alien, a national of Albania, a prisoner in the Detention facility of Korydallos (leader 3 organization),
fourteen national and, specifically, twelve men and two women, aged 26 to 52 years of age, as well as a 34-year-old alien, a national of Albania, (regional executives of the three organisations).
Formed file κακουργηματικού character in weight of a total of (116) persons – case – by-case offences of recommendation and participation in a criminal organisation, violation of the narcotics act, the infringement of the Customs Code, smuggling of weapons and of the infringement of the law on aliens.
In the framework of the methodical police investigation, during which were evaluated and used all the data obtained, it was verified that the internal structure and διακριβώθηκε the continuous and systematic action of the three organisations, which are cooperating with each other and were active at least from September 2015.
In addition, it has been confirmed the hierarchical relationship of the members, the central and leading role of leadership, the regional role of the other members, as well as, the way and the methodology of action (modus operandi), and between communication and collaboration.
The leaders of the organizations purchase the drugs, which they then deliver to the rest of the members, for the purpose of transport, storage and further handling and marketing them, while the lead stem of the third organisation was the connecting link between the three organisations and the supplied quantities of heroin.
As can be seen from the progress of the police investigation, members of criminal organisations were provided with telephone connections that did not correspond to the real names, which were changed at regular intervals, while in between the phone consultations using coded terminology. In addition, taking additional measures to avoid detection and arrest them.
In the context of the investigations carried out in the presence of a Judicial Officer and with the assistance of a police dog, in homes and vehicles, but also in the possession of the members of the organization were found and seized:
48,7 grams of heroin and 12 grams of cannabis,
101 drugs tablets and 371 grams of meth,
2 pistols, a pistol gas and a hunting rifle,
4 knives-daggers,
9 tax-free cigarette packs and 280 grams of tax-free tobacco,
10 electronic scales,
2 electric mixers with residues of heroin,
2 trimmers cannabis,
a multitude of packaging materials of drugs,
the amount of 6.025 euro,
41 mobile phones and
7 vehicles, of which three (I.X. passenger cars, a I to.X. truck, an agricultural machine, a motorcycle and a moped.
In addition, during the research for the identification of the action of criminal organisations were arrested in different cases of five members and confiscated a total of 792,5 grams of heroin, 382 grams of methadone, the amount of 30.125 euro and 96 pounds, most recently in the arrest of four persons (07-03-2016) in Larissa, where they were seized 418 grams of heroin carefully hidden in a taillight I.
