A Greek man has filed a criminal complaint with authorities alleging the abduction and possible murder of his 50-year-old Chinese wife, Yun Ting, who vanished from their home in Artemida, Attica, on May 20, 2026. The complaint—submitted on Monday, July 13, 2026, through attorney Anastasios Dougas—urges a thorough investigation into what he describes as a deeply troubling and unresolved case.
Last Known Movements
According to the complaint, Yun Ting’s last confirmed sighting occurred on May 20, 2026, at approximately 11:09 a.m., captured by external security cameras at the entrance of the couple’s shared residence in Artemida. Her final communication with her husband took place that same morning via WeChat, during which she sent him an official TAP certificate issued the same day by the Municipality of Spata.
She also exchanged messages with her husband’s mother at 11:16 a.m. via Viber, sending a photo taken near a bus stop. Later that day, a driver of Athens Urban Transport Organization (OASA) bus line 305—running between the National Mint and Artemida—confirmed transporting her from the Spata Municipal Building to the Nomismatokopeio metro station between 11:30 a.m. and 12:10 p.m. After that, she disappeared without trace—and no further contact has been made with her husband or anyone else known to him.
Their Life Together
The couple married in 2002. Yun Ting holds a Greek residence permit as the spouse of an EU citizen. Since September 2025, they have lived in a property owned by her in Artemida, Attica. They have no children, and the husband states there have been no marital disputes, disagreements, or tensions.
Yun Ting worked as a Chinese-to-Greek translator and managed real estate assets for fellow Chinese nationals seeking Greek Golden Visa residency permits and investment opportunities.
From their home, only four personal items are missing: her passport, Greek residence permit, driver’s license, and a Louis Vuitton handbag. The husband notes these were likely taken for use in official procedures—including the TAP certificate obtained that day from the Municipality of Spata.
