Director Stavros Dufexis died.

Stavros Dufexis died in 92 years, as theatre critic Giannis Sarygiannis made known. Stavros Dufexis was born in Nafplio and, as Giannis Sarigiannis notes, performed around 80 performances in the German-speaking countries. In particular, it states: “Sturos Dufexis: Nafplio 1932- Athens 6 March 2024. He was an important director. And a great man. He studied in Vienna and Berlin and performed in the German-speaking countries around 80. Until 1974 he returned to Greece, where he worked with the state Theatres and private troupe, always having the theatrelogist and critic Annie Koltsidopoulou, his partner in life. His iconic performance for me was “The visions of Simon Massar”—in 1976, in the National, with Rania Economidou in the surname role—where he gave us, for the first time in Greece, an unsurpassed model of brihtic performance. In the last years of his life he became bitter after death, in 2015, in her 47 years, his daughter from his first marriage, the excellent mezzo soprano Stella Dufexis. Let him rest.”
