Dimitris Natsios Clarifies No Expulsion for Nikos Papadopoulos Over Art Gallery Incident

In a new post, Dimitris Natsios, leader of the political party NIKI, clarified that there is no question of expelling member of parliament Nikos Papadopoulos over an incident involving vandalism at the National Gallery. Papadopoulos acted on his own initiative when he removed what he deemed to be blasphemous paintings depicting sacred figures unflatteringly. The statement from NIKI emphasizes that Papadopoulos was driven by deep religious outrage and questions why he was detained unlawfully for several hours at the gallery. Natsios reiterated that Papadopoulos’ actions were motivated by righteous indignation against sacrilegious artwork targeting the Virgin Mary and saints. The leader also pointed out the pressing issue: why was Papadopoulos held illegally for so long?
