‘I don’t take sides, I believe there’s a warning to all of us not to refer to the case. Both horns and skin?’ stated Dimitris Mothonaios when asked about the matter. Appearing on Happy Day with Stamatina Tsitsili on Friday morning, March 7th, Mothonaios discussed the legal dispute between Ilia Papageorgiou and Elena Christopoulou, and his departure from the latter’s agency. ‘Yiannis Malliaros came to ask me, and this was relayed later, saying that I no longer speak to Elena Christopoulou. This was commented on as if it were new information based on my report. What is the aim of this failed manipulation? People understand what happened; the knot has reached the comb, and we do not accept this handling, whether for this issue or larger ones like the Tempi case,’ he remarked. ‘It doesn’t make sense, it’s absurd. They told me to make a decision. I studied Law; I know the proper course. If I wanted decisions, I’d go to the judicial body. Thank you for the guidance. What decision should I make? I said it seems there’s an issue. Have patience and it will come. Should we resolve it?’ he added. Mothonaios clarified that he left Christopoulou’s agency, after which they ceased communication. ‘I don’t take sides, I believe there’s a warning to all of us not to discuss the case. Both parties involved? I am a trustworthy former colleague who left without making a fuss, not wanting to provoke anything. Should I apologize for leaving and for being a decent person who responds?’ Mothonaios said during his appearance on Happy Day.
