Diamond Expectations…

Writes Rania Αηδώνη
I threw a bouquet of chrysanthemums on the side of the road. Anyway, no one noticed the smell. And the wheel turns. And spinning, and spinning, and spinning…
Endless. In the center, sparkling diamond expectations. And you are standing on the edge of the road. A summer rain washed away the color of the flower and painted it your way. Νερόχρωμα rolled up your shoes. And so, as I don’t see where you’re going, you left behind a trail of endless chrysanthemums…
There looking for me. In the center of the circle. What sparkles are you looking to with καθρεφτίσεις. And I stand on the edge of the road. And the wheel turns, and turns, and turns… And I’m looking for the chrysanthemums in the road.
To count how many times you smile. So to count the life.
Looking for life that looks like it would last forever. Looking for people who can keep it in their mouth, your soul, and to keep those who know to keep it in there safely. It looks like I can stay like this forever. Protected and intact. So like… forever.
As menacing sparkle, always the diamond expectations. Everything I earnestly wish to the others and the καθρεφτίζεις on top of them. And life has an expiration date. And the wheel turns, and turns, and turns…
Drop expectations and keep a heart of diamond. Of those that have been expertly cut To look like it would last forever.
Hold a chrysanthemum and καθρεφτίσου up.
You look like you’ll keep forever.
Because the wheel is spinning, and spinning, and spinning…
A chrysanthemum, perhaps, always to remind you of.
