DEPA Commercial today (30 April 2026) won the international liquefied natural gas (LNG) procurement tender launched by Bulgaria’s Bulgartransgaz, submitting the most competitive bid among all participants.
Tender Details and Delivery Plan
The competitive process was conducted via Bulgaria’s energy exchange—the Balkan Gas Hub—and covered the supply of 500 GWh (0.5 TWh) of LNG to support the operation of Bulgaria’s National Natural Gas Transmission System.
The LNG cargo will be delivered to the FSRU (Floating Storage and Regasification Unit) terminal in Alexandroupolis during the first ten days of August. Following delivery, the LNG will be regasified before being transported into Bulgaria’s gas network.
