Greek Minister of National Defense, Nikos Dendias, was highly impressed by the educational firing exercises of directed missiles carried out by the Hellenic Navy. The drills took place in the southwestern sea area of the Peloponnese, targeting decommissioned ships and unmanned aircraft. Dendias observed the exercises from the frigate ‘Adrias,’ accompanied by top military officials including Chief of the Hellenic Navy, Vice Admiral Dimitris Houpi, and others. In his remarks, Dendias stated, “Today I had the great opportunity to witness the Hellenic Navy’s exercise with the launch of directed missiles, even using drones as targets. This successful exercise demonstrates that the Hellenic Navy has entered a new era.” He emphasized that the Agenda 2030 initiative is firmly grounded, even before the arrival of new units. Addressing the naval personnel involved, he highlighted their crucial role as the primary force multiplier, expressing pride in the men and women of the Armed Forces who ensure Greece’s sovereignty and rights.
