DEI Launches Dynamic Business Electricity Tariff on February 24

DEI has officially launched its new dynamic (orange) electricity tariff for businesses, named myBusinesDynamic, available commercially from February 24. Designed for businesses with smart meters and contracted power above 25 kVA, the tariff reflects real-time wholesale market prices—specifically the Day-Ahead Market Clearing Price (DAMCP) published daily by LAGIE. The pricing structure includes a fixed monthly charge plus a variable component: Dynamic Price = Coefficient B × DAMCP per hour. Coefficient B and Base Price A are fixed for the contract duration and published on dei.gr. Customers receive daily updates of next-day hourly prices via DEI’s dedicated product page. Key benefits include cost savings by shifting consumption to low-price hours, enhanced cost control, and full transparency. However, risks include potential sharp price spikes during high-demand periods. Residential dynamic tariffs will follow on April 1.
