The DEH Group has achieved notable improvements in its environmental performance ratings from the global non-profit environmental disclosure organization CDP. In the Water Security category, DEH moved up three tiers—from a ‘D’ to a ‘B−’—reflecting significant progress in water resource management, risk and opportunity assessment, and the strengthening of monitoring and reporting processes. In Climate Change, the Group retained its ‘B’ rating, underscoring consistent quality and completeness in its climate-related disclosures amid an increasingly rigorous and competitive CDP evaluation process.
Top-Tier Recognition for Supplier Engagement
DEH also earned an ‘A’ rating in CDP’s Supplier Engagement Assessment (SEA), placing it on the prestigious ‘A List’. This distinction recognizes the Group’s systematic integration of sustainability criteria across its supply chain and its active collaboration with suppliers to reduce indirect emissions—known as Scope 3 emissions—linked to its value chain.
CDP: A Global Benchmark for Environmental Transparency
Established in 2000, CDP is widely regarded as the world’s leading environmental disclosure platform. In 2025, it assessed over 23,000 companies, governments, cities, and regions globally—making it the largest environmental data repository worldwide. Its evaluations cover climate change, forests, and water security, providing investors and stakeholders with critical insights into environmental impact and corporate accountability.
Sustainability at the Core of DEH’s Strategic Transformation
In recent years, DEH has consistently advanced its strategic transformation, centered on sustainable development and the energy transition—with full lignite phase-out targeted by end-2026 as a top priority. Under its updated 2026–2030 Strategic Plan, the Group is scaling up investments in renewable energy projects (RES), flexible generation, energy storage, and modern energy infrastructure. Innovation and digital technologies are being deployed across all operational areas to support this shift.
In 2025, 87% of DEH’s total €2.8 billion investment program is allocated to green initiatives.
