Technology innovation is fully exploited by the launch of a new application, from which users can be informed directly and accurately of the energy produced by Renewable Energy Sources ( ). The DEDNO, as part of its strategic plan to digitize services and functions, enables all consumers to be informed by the mobile (android and IOS) or their computer the data on the performance of RES, at a nationwide level. With the application, which is available via myDEDDiE app (the already installed applications will need to be upgraded to its newest version), the user navigates a simple, safe and friendly environment, where information is easily accessible and in a useful way classified. Any visitor of the new application may, by clicking on the option of ‘Renewal Energy Production’ and selecting the geographical department and the period of interest, be informed of all types of RES, i.e. solar, wind, hydroelectric, biomass and bioliquids, co-production, either individually or in total. In addition, data are provided on the levels of carbon saving achieved. This implementation is another move towards the adoption of digital solutions aimed at serving citizens and promoting the multi-faceted work of the TENDI. At the same time, it highlights the importance of RES towards the transition to a less coal future, allowing all citizens to become familiar with green energy choices and sustainability. Referring to the app, the CEO of HEDNO, Anastasios Manos stressed: ‘After actions to support electric drive, digitise the Middle Voltage network and digital customer demand service, DEDNO continues to pioneer and launch the new application through which all users will be informed about the energy generated by RES. This application makes the work of RES accessible and understandable in a practical way to everyone and is also an expression of the TEN’s strategy for sustainable exploitation of innovation.”
