If his potential leaders became one or two years before viewers’ interest would be clearly smaller. Today, however, with PASOK, at least in the polls being a second party and moving fully towards becoming an institutional main opposition as SYRIZA is torn apart the data has changed. Some estimate that from the ratings of the debate and what we will see the six candidates say tonight at 21.00 in the ERT will also be judged participation in the election process. The preparation of all candidates is intense by their staff and the necessary rehearsals have been done as it is a difficult task but not something that public television has never done before. It is more difficult for candidates who – with the exception of – know that a lot will be decided tonight. The election struggle has generally moved in low tones among candidates and without extremes. However, in the last few hours there has been moaning about the number of gallops to be set up in each district. Some leave spikes for the decision for example to set up 50 polls in Heraklion Crete – home to Nikos Androulakis – and fewer in the first Athens… The terms of the debate will be broadcast by the 24-hour ERTNEWS newsletter, while simultaneous interpretation in Greek sign language will be available on ERTNEWS1 via ERTFLIX and ertnews.gr. ERT journalists, George Kouvaras and Apostolos Maggeriadis will present questions to the candidates. Nikos Androulakis, Pavlos Geroulanos, Nadia Giannakopoulou, Anna Diamantopoulou, Haris Doukas and Michael Katrinis agreed to develop their positions in the following thematic sections: Economy Development Social State New generation – Demographic Foreign Policy – Defence – European Union State-Institutions Self-government Climate crisis Political protection Energy transition The duration of each journalistic question, as regards the six modules, should not exceed 30’’’ and the duration of each response should be 90”. Apostolos Maggeriadis and Giorgos Kouvaras will be able to submit a total of six (6) follow up questions each to the six candidates. Each question shall not exceed 15’’’ and any answer shall not exceed 30’’’. Each candidate will have the possibility – during the telefighting – of submitting five questions, placing, but also commenting on a different candidate each time, but also in a different section. The question put, like the answer, should not exceed 30’’. The same duration should be allowed for repositions, but also for replies. The telefighting will be completed with a final placement of each candidate-virus, up to 90’’. Newssit.gr will present you minute by minute everything that is done in front and behind the cameras in the database for the leadership of PASOK. The election will take place on 6 October 2024 with a runoff on 13 October.
