David Duchovny, best known for his role as Agent Fox Mulder in ‘The X-Files,’ is set to star in a new non-fiction series on History Channel. Titled ‘Secrets Declassified,’ the show will delve into ‘the most secret, bizarre, and shocking activities of the American government that have been declassified,’ according to the official description. In each episode, Duchovny investigates a different topic, such as Area 51, with the help of various experts. “I’ve always been drawn to exploring the more complex aspects of our lives, leading to discussions that dig beneath the surface and unlock a more fascinating story,” Duchovny explained. “I’m excited to be an executive producer and host of a new series on History Channel that doesn’t shy away from going where no one else dares. We tell incredible stories of government secrets that have only recently come to light. This series proves that secrets can be revealed and mysteries still unravel.” Although there’s no direct mention of ‘The X-Files,’ the combination of Agent Mulder, the government, and unexplained events certainly echoes the successful series.
