A significant disturbance has arisen following the news that a renowned individual is suspected to have lost their life when a private jet crashed, resulting in at least seven fatalities. Just hours earlier, Daniel Williams, former drummer of the popular Christian metalcore band The Devil Wears Prada, had shared a photo of himself in the cockpit on social media. Williams, 39, was recorded boarding a Cessna 550 at Teterboro Airport in New Jersey late Wednesday night (May 21, 2025), before the aircraft ultimately crashed near San Diego. In his final post, Williams appeared at the controls of the aircraft with the caption: ‘Here we gooooooo.’ The plane took off from Teterboro Airport at 11:15 PM ET, according to flight tracking data, stopping for fuel in Wichita, Kansas, before continuing toward California. Williams, who lived in San Diego and had transitioned into a career as a software engineer after leaving the band, shared an Instagram story while boarding the plane. He mentioned flying with music agent and pilot Dave Shapiro. On Wednesday, investigators confirmed both passengers onboard perished in the crash. Music agent Tony Cappocchi paid tribute to Shapiro, stating to the Daily Mail: ‘Dave was a very good friend of ours.’
