Incredible incident in . A 57-year-old was maimed as in his attempt to “lift up” the safe of a house, this fell upon him resulting in him being very seriously injured. The break-in took place last week in a home of a 63-year-old Greek Cypriot in Anarita, Pafos, Cyprus. As the authorities’ investigation showed, the 57-year-old man along with his 42-year-old accomplice reportedly entered the foreign home and tried to steal the safe. In their attempt to move the heavy object, they threw it down the stairs and thus ended up on the leg of the 57-year-old perpetrator, according to philenews. The case was revealed when the owner of the house made a complaint to the Cyprus police. Then Paphos police officers began investigations at the area hospital to see how many men were transported there with severe leg injuries. Hospital records “showed” the 52-year-old alleged perpetrator who had been transferred Wednesday with severe leg fractures. Despite efforts the doctors failed to save his leg and proceeded to amputation. After an analysis of the closed surveillance circuits, the authorities found that the victim had been taken to hospital by an unknown man who left him at the scene and left without giving evidence. On Thursday authorities spotted and arrested the two men. The 42-year-old claimed that the 57-year-old called him and told him to pick him up from a field in a Paphos area although his claim was not confirmed.
