Cyclades: The winners and losers in accommodation and focus

Many variations recorded revenue in and focus on the third quarter of 2024, i.e. the basic tourist season of summer, also reflecting the extent to which the goal of tourist development was achieved. More specifically, according to data published by ELSTAT and processed by MTC GROUP, Santorini in the accommodation industry in the Cyclades leads to revenues of 267,539,905 euros, despite having dropped 9.9% compared to the respective last year. Mykonos with 199.488.541 followed and a 5.9% drop. In third place is Paros with 58,168,971 and an increase of 2.6%, in fourth Naxos with 57,557,720 and an increase of 2%, in fifth Milos with 41,549,594 and an increase of 4.7% in sixth is Syros with 10,086,556 and an increase of 3.2%, in seventh is Tinos with 8.214,429 and a reduction of 1.5% and in last positions Andros with 5,247,374 and a reduction of 5.1%, as well as Kea and Kythnos with 4.468,240 and a reduction of 2.1%. In the focus industry the jiros were, in order, 108,176,793 euros in Santorini, 109,783,921 in Mykonos, 58,557,047 in Paros, 49,424,936 in Naxos, 31,828,168 in Milos, 18,509,370 in Syros, 15,790,912 in Tinos, 9,568,867 in Kea and Kythnos and 8,908,131 in Andros. According to the above, it is found that overall in the income of accommodation and focus, Santorini and Mykonos, despite the fall, retain the first positions. Paros follows with 116,762,018, Naxos with 89,385,888, Milos with 60,058,964, while several tens of thousands below are, in order, Syros with 28.595,926 followed by Tinos with 23.915,341. In the last positions are near Andros with 14,155. 505 with Kea and Kythnos who recorded revenue 14,037,107.
