Cruise Ship with 335 Passengers Suffers Mechanical Failure in Patras Port

Passengers aboard the German-flagged cruise ship ‘AKKA’ experienced distress after it was immobilized in the port of Patras on Monday evening (June 23, 2025), due to a mechanical failure. The ship ‘AKKA’, carrying 335 passengers, 76 cars, 38 trucks, and 31 caravans, was scheduled to travel along the Patras – Igoumenitsa – Venice route. The vessel remains docked at the port of Patras, the capital of Achaea, awaiting repairs.
