Criminal lawyer Stavros Georgiou was found dead on the evening of Tuesday, 22 July, at his law office located at 158 3rd September Street in central Athens.
According to reports, Georgiou was discovered by his children at the office. They immediately contacted authorities.
He was found unclothed, curled in a fetal position, and covered in blood; his clothes were scattered nearby. Heavy police presence quickly secured the area, with Hellenic Police units launching an investigation into the circumstances surrounding his death. Preliminary indications point to possible criminal activity.
As of now, no official cause of death has been announced. The ongoing preliminary investigation is examining all possible scenarios.
