For ten years, the young girls who were victims of an orthopedic technician in Crete have lived a nightmare. When they were just 13 and 14 years old, this man exploited them under the guise of treatment for scoliosis. Despite being sentenced to nine years in prison for sexually abusing minors, he remains free in Athens while appealing his case. The victims, speaking to Live News, described the horrific moments they endured at his hands and the sexual abuse disguised as ‘therapy.’ One victim said, ‘As long as he walks free and justice isn’t served, we and unsuspecting people are at risk. It’s only a matter of time before he strikes again.’ Another added, ‘A pedophile is out there, moving freely. Why aren’t his details made public? Should I and other girls live in fear?’ The man posed as an orthopedic technician, making braces for scoliosis therapy. After numerous complaints, he fled Crete and now resides in Athens, presenting himself with false identities, including as a pilot and surgeon. Victims report that he creates fake Facebook profiles and approaches various professions. He would instill fear by telling them they’d die without his ‘treatment,’ showing them photos of allegedly deceased patients. His tactics included blinding victims and then exploiting them. Now, the victims demand not only his imprisonment but also the publication of his personal information, emphasizing the danger he poses to society.
