Crete: 26-Year-Old Faces Court for Savage Attack on His Grandfather – Father Encouraged the Assault

A 26-year-old man is standing trial in Crete for a brutal assault on his grandfather, who remains in critical condition at the Intensive Care Unit of PAGNI Hospital. The young man was brought to court in Neapolis, Crete, today (Wednesday, March 5). According to reports, the attack occurred on Clean Monday when the young man allegedly struck his grandfather with a rock during an altercation, causing severe head injuries. Both the 26-year-old and his 54-year-old father, who reportedly incited the assault, have been arrested by police. The 78-year-old victim continues to be treated in the ICU of Venizelio Hospital in Heraklion.
