The video, captured inside the building number 8 of the Courts of Hope, shows court employees moving significant judicial records with magnets and tape after placing them in large blue bags. A lawyer commented on this practice, stating, “It certainly involves risks and is a daily sight. However, it does not honor Justice or its officers.” This common scene at Greece’s largest courthouse highlights inefficiencies within the system. Supermarket carts are used as the primary means of transporting legal files, while electronic carts are rarely utilized due to shortages. Citizens criticize the slow pace of justice, enduring long waits for case resolutions. According to data from the Ministry of Justice, only 25% of judicial documents, amounting to 63 million out of 300 million, have been digitized so far.
