Corydal Prisons: Correctional Officer Hidden Cells and Drugs in a Pot

of them arrested yesterday (09.03.2024) when he attempted to pass to prison, raw cannabis and cell phones in a double bottom pot. According to a statement from the ELAS on the arrest of the prison officer, following information on the imminent introduction of drugs in the Korydallos prisons, a police operation was organized using drug detection devices and assistance from a police dog. During the operation a double bottom cooking pot was found inside the service truck containing: •6 improvised nylon packs containing raw cannabis of a total weight of 557 grams, •9 mobile telephone devices, •10 charge adapters and •17 mobile phone charging cables. In investigations then conducted at the defendant’s house were found and a folding butterfly-type knife and iron fists were seized. The impounds will be sent to the Criminal Investigation Division for laboratory tests. The arrester, with the file formed against him, was taken to the competent prosecutor.
