Coronavirus – Malta: Memorial doses approved for vulnerable groups

Malta will start delivering booster doses of the Covid-19 vaccine to vulnerable groups in mid-September, the health ministry said.

Malta has vaccinated 86% of its population and vaccines are currently being given to adolescents aged 12-16. The health authorities also called on pregnant women in the second or third trimester of pregnancy to be vaccinated.

Vaccinated people who come in close contact with confirmed cases will henceforth be quarantined for only one week, instead of two unless of course, they get sick themselves.
