Coronavirus – Austria: More than 200 cases for the first time in a month

For the first time in a month, more than 200 new coronavirus infections have been reported in Austria, and according to a statement from the Interior and Health Ministries in Vienna today, a total of 218 new cases have been added in the last 24 hours.

The 218 new infections are significantly higher than the average reported last week, at 160 per day, and the so-called “seven-day effect” – new infections in the previous seven days per 100,000 inhabitants – has also risen to 12,5.

Today, Tuesday, there were a total of 2,263 active cases of coronavirus in the country, 147 more than yesterday, Monday, while the total number of confirmed cases recorded in Austria since the outbreak of the pandemic to date amounts to 652,022 and a total of 639,035 people have recovered.
