Coronavirus: At 34.6% the proportion of patients aged 18-39 years

There is concern about the course of the pandemic, in terms of dispersal among young people. Although the situation seems stable, the coronavirus seems to “hit” more young people aged 18-39, as in recent days, more than 6 out of 10 patients come from this age group.

According to EODY data, last Sunday the proportion of patients at this age was 34.3%, while today at 34.6%. In absolute numbers, within one week cases increased by 3,204, while in the other age groups the rate of increase is smaller. At the same time, at the moment 3 patients aged 18-39 are hospitalized intubated.

Experts are concerned about the increase in cases in this solar group, both because of increased mobility, but also because of the Delta mutation, which affects younger ages. That’s why they insist on the need for vaccination.

Without vaccine 99% of deaths and intubating’s in Greece

At the same time, the data also show the risk to unvaccinated people. In the last three months (May, April, June), 99% of deaths and intubating in the ages of 60-80 years had not made the vaccine.

In particular, 99.02% of the dead and 99.8% of those rescued had not been vaccinated.
