Corfu: Coach Accused of Abuse Against Minor Athlete Identified

Details of a coach accused of abusing a minor athlete in Corfu have been made public. The individual was arrested on February 10 for alleged misconduct with an underage athlete from May 2022 until January 2025. During this period, the athlete, aged between 15 and 17, was under his supervision. Five photos and three videos were found on his phone depicting the girl engaged in intimate acts with him. According to police, criminal charges were filed against him for exploiting a minor who had reached the age of 14 by a coach responsible for her care, as well as for producing and possessing child pornography. An announcement by ELAS emphasized that this disclosure aims to investigate these offenses while safeguarding society and protecting minors. It is expected to uncover additional witnesses whose testimonies could facilitate the prosecution’s case and reveal further victims, encouraging them to report incidents to authorities.
