In a unanimous decision, the Mixed Jury Court of Athens convicted all three defendants involved in the case of Fay Bakogiorgou, which took place in 2021. The court unanimously found the landlady guilty of premeditated murder, human trafficking, grievous bodily harm, and attempted bodily harm to minors. However, she was acquitted of the charge of abortion, as had been recommended by the prosecutor. The victim’s mother was also found guilty of simple complicity in premeditated murder and complicity in human trafficking. Similarly, Fay Bakogiorgou’s 24-year-old sister was convicted on the same charges.
