The two Greek women were arrested and taken to the prison where they slept on the floor without knowing what would happen to them. The description of the 50-year-old woman from Rethymno for the adventure of her daughter and herself in the detention camps of Constantinople and also in a refugee hotspot is shocking. Speaking on Crete TV about the trip to Istanbul, which evolved into a nightmare, the 50-year-old woman reports that it all started on November 23rd, when she and her 22-year-old daughter bought handkerchiefs to enter Saint Sophia and the woman accidentally put in her bag the shopkeeper’s cell phone. They were arrested and taken to the prison where they slept on the floor without knowing what would happen to them. The 22-year-old daughter spent 72 hours in a hot spot until she was deported without her mother knowing anything. The 50-year-old woman was released, but is trapped in Turkey, waiting for the trial, which can take place after months, with her husband seeking state intervention to return safely to Greece on bail. The Turkish shopkeeper withdrew the lawsuit, and according to the case file he considers to be a mistake, which appears possible from the video material. However, the husband of the 50 – year – old is anxious every day that he is spending more and more, since the woman seems to be facing health problems.
