Congratulations from the President and Political Parties for Women’s Water Polo Gold

President of the Republic expressed ‘warm congratulations to the athletes of the National Water Polo Team for their historic gold medal win at the final of the World Cup in China.’ The President highlighted that ‘the unmatched girls of Greek water polo, coached by Haris Paulidis, achieved a remarkable victory proving that with talent and competitive strength, they will continue to make us proud and honor the Greek colors.’ Additionally, Parliament Speaker Nikitas Kaklamanis praised both the men’s and women’s national teams for their silver and gold achievements in the same tournament. SYRIZA leader Socrates Famellos described the team as ‘golden girls’ who have raised Greek sports even higher. Lastly, the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) also extended warm congratulations to the Women’s National Water Polo Team for securing the first-ever gold medal in the World Cup Final, wishing them continued success.
