Coldplay: They donate part of their revenue from concerts to support small concert venues

They follow the initiative of the British metal band Enter Shikari, who donated 1 English pound from each ticket sold to their recent concert. Coldplay are to donate 10% of their revenue from their UK concerts in 2025 in London and Hal to Music Value Trust, the British organization that supports small concert venues. Earlier this year, the UK Parliament’s Committee on Culture, Media and Sport was informed by supporters, artists and representatives of industry bodies about the “crisis” faced by the country’s smaller spaces. The meeting highlighted the need to levy £1 on tickets from the concert arenas to be distributed to smaller venues. The Coldplay initiative follows that of British metal band Enter Shikari, who donated 1 English pound of each ticket sold to their concert at OVO Wembley Arena in February 2024.
