Coca-Cola in Greece secured a total of five prestigious awards at the Water Awards 2025, reaffirming its commitment to reducing water usage and promoting sustainable water management through innovative conservation methods across its production units. In addition, it was honored with the esteemed title of ‘Water Team of the Year,’ one of the most coveted accolades at the event, recognizing the company’s overall excellence in water protection efforts.
Specifically, Coca-Cola Three Epsilons received the Gold Award in the ‘Food & Beverage’ category for its holistic approach to managing water resources across all its water, beverage, and soft drink production plants. It also earned another Gold Award in the ‘Industry Wastewater Treatment’ category for its comprehensive industrial wastewater management system. The company received a Silver Award in the ‘Water Efficiency’ category for its water-saving practices and a Bronze Award in the ‘Sewage and Wastewater Technology’ category for implementing advanced waste treatment solutions at its Mega Plant facility in Schimatari.
Moreover, Coca-Cola in Greece was awarded a Silver distinction in the ‘Corporate Social Responsibility Initiatives’ category for the ‘ZERO DROP: Shielding Crete Against Climate Change’ program, implemented by Global Water Partnership – Mediterranean with funding from The Coca-Cola Foundation. This initiative focuses on upgrading irrigation networks in the communities of Profitis Ilias and Vouton, saving and returning millions of liters of water annually to local communities.
