New developments have emerged regarding the revelations made by Maria Karystianou in her interview with journalist Rania Tzima. Reporter Vasilis Lampropoulos from MEGA disclosed on Monday (23.06.2025) that associates of Gregoris Dimitriades are close relatives of the judicial officer who allegedly conveyed threats against Maria Karystianou, president of the Victims of Misfortune Association ‘2023.’ In her interview, Karystianou revealed she received death threats against herself and her family after filing a proposal for the Pre-Trial Investigation into the Tempi scandal, directly accusing Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis of ‘ultimate betrayal.’ According to Lampropoulos, Karystianou submitted a three-page statement on June 10 to Greece’s equivalent of the FBI, stating that she was contacted by someone from the Justice Department and met at a store in Pedion tou Areos. Authorities identified the person who informed her about the specific threats. The latest information indicates that close relatives of the active judicial official involved in conveying the threats worked with Gregoris Dimitriades, a former close associate of the Prime Minister. One of these relatives continues to work at Dimitriades’ law office today. The judicial official denies having conveyed any threats.
